In the US, EDF Innovation Labs role is to provide R&D, innovation, and business development support to the EDF Group. This is done through the creation of partnerships and collaborations with leading research institutions and industries and the identification and development of innovative technologies and solutions. EDF Innovation Lab also introduces start-ups and emerging technologies to EDF Groups business units with the goal of partnering and develop joint ventures.
As Smart Grid Analyst, you will be part of a robust team that is passionate about energy transition topics. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and interests in both the technical and business aspects of energy, enabling Smart Grid technologies.
Responsibilities

Perform Smart Grid surveys on different topics (DERMS, use of storage systems for grid applications, submetering for electric vehicles, interconnection rules for electric vehicles, SCADA automation, fraud detection, etc.)

Provide product and market research and analysis regarding Smart Grids in the US.

Work with partners on innovative Smart Grid projects.

Identify potential partners to launch projects in France or to join a concrete project in the US.

Contribute to Smart Grid experiments (Microgrid, virtual power plants, storage systems, etc.).

Develop new smart grid activities and topics contribute to the definition of the strategy concerning Smart Grid in the Innovation Lab and develop new activities for internal or external clients.

Contribute to Nexalis business development, in particular the business of third-party applications to answer to clients needs.
Requirements and Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor’s in Engineering, or Energy related sciences, or other relevant field and experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience (internships included) in power systems, including grid analysis, utilities forecasting and power system improvements.

Knowledge of US power markets required.

Salary between $110,000 to $120,000, based on experience and education.
