Job Title: Senior Transmission Engineer

Job Description:
Ecoplexus is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Transmission System Engineer or a Senior Transmission Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to work for a renewable energy developer specializing in solar, battery storage, and hybrid (PV and storage) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform load flow and stability studies to evaluate the steady-state performance and dynamic behavior of power systems under normal and fault conditions
- Utilize software such as PSSE, MUST (ALA), PowerGEM TARA, PowerWorld, PSLF or similar load flow programs to simulate and analyze power system performance.
- Apply knowledge of interconnection studies methodologies to assess the impact of new generation and load additions on the power system.
- Identify and evaluate transmission system enhancement opportunities, including generation, load, and system component upgrades.
- Provide technical support for transmission planning and operations, including system performance analysis and emergency response.
- Collaborate with other engineers, customers, and stakeholders to develop solutions that meet the needs of the power system.
- Present findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, developers, and industry groups.
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements in power systems analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Power Systems).
- Relevant experience in power systems analysis, with a focus on transmission systems.
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience performing load flow and stability studies using software such as PSSE, MUST (ALA), PowerGEM TARA, PowerWorld, PSLF or similar load flow programs.
- Strong knowledge of interconnection studies methodologies.
- Knowledge or ability to program using Python or other programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find solutions to complex power system problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and customers to achieve common goals.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Plus if they have production cost and congestion forecasting experience using tools like UPLAN, Gridview, GE MAPs, ProMod, or equivalent
- Experience working with a RTO
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in Power Systems

Pay Range: $170,000 – $200,000*
*Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
