Title: Asset Manager
The Asset Manager is responsible for managing the operations and management of one or various project assets that are owned and operated by East Point. This role will assist in the implementation of the companys business strategy in the space of asset management and operations, while also ensuring the successful delivery of operational projects. This role reports directly to the Director of Asset Management and works with the EPC, Project Development, Business Development, and Finance teams. Scope may eventually expand to include other renewable energy technologies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee safety, environmental, quality, and performance at operating facilities
- Manage the operations process, planning, control, and performance improvement
- Lead and attend on-site project meetings
- Lead and attend regular project meetings with contractors, integrators, and any other project stakeholders
- Execute the asset management strategy primarily focused on standalone energy storage projects and over time may include other renewable energy technologies
- Present business cases for asset management opportunities, providing a solid understanding of overall risks, benefits, and returns
- Evaluate, negotiate, award, and manage O&M services contracts
- Manage warranty contracts with EPCs/OEMs
- Ensure the smooth transition and receiving of projects from the East Point EPC team
- Forecast and manage OPEX budget corresponding to the projects under management
- Report Key Performance Indicators of assets
- Participate in software selection to manage the projects, and in the implementation of the platforms
- Implement NERC Compliance procedures, as applicable, for the projects
- Support screening of project opportunities, acquired by East Point across the following renewable technologies: energy storage, solar, solar plus storage, and wind
- Collaborate on power trading strategies and operational plans
- Maintain strong networks with energy industry representatives and key stakeholders
- Partner with the East Point EPC team to evaluate emerging storage technologies, including identification of risks associated with integration and operation within the East Point fleet of renewable energy assets
- Provide feedback to East Point Project Development team and EPC team on lessons learned
- Support company strategy and execution beyond Asset Management
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
Skills:
- Asset management experience (safety, environmental health, quality, technical specifications, scope, budgets, schedule, change orders, stakeholder management, etc.)
- Analyze, synthesize, and prioritize information accurately and effectively multi-task
- Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication; able to communicate to audiences with varying degrees of technical understanding
- Strong contractor management and presentation skills
- Experience building, leading, and managing a team is a plus
- Asset management experience specific to grid-scale lithium-ion battery projects
- Knowledge of energy storage technology offerings and suppliers, including inverters and transformers
- Ability to negotiate and manage vendor and contractor contracts
- Ability to manage project and portfolio financials
- Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience using business management platforms as SalesForce, and technical platforms as SCADA a plus
- Able to walk over undeveloped land unassisted, travel unassisted, and sit at a computer for long periods of time
- Safe driving record, valid drivers license

Education & Experience:
- 4-year university degree, BS or BA; preferably in Engineering, Construction/Project Management, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in asset management, specific to energy generation projects. Preference for experience with both distribution- and transmission- interconnected projects
- 2+ years of experience in the operations and management of grid-scale battery energy storage projects
Travel & Time Commitment:
- Travel will vary, expect approximately 25% of the time
- This is a full-time, exempt salaried position. Standard office hours are from 8:30 AM 5:30 PM EST. The demands of projects may require work outside of these times.
