Job Description

Position Summary:

Dyna Electric is looking for an experienced solar technician with an E1/E2 electrical license.

The Field Technician performs field level activities required to commission, operate and, maintain a solar or BESS site and can do so independently. This position includes repairs on inverters, Bess units, communications equipment, and general site upkeep. Field technicians are required to have a working knowledge on operating solar equipment and performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure the company vehicle, tooling, electronics, software, and property that is issued are taken care of and accounted for

Willingness and ability to use our project management and time management software

Troubleshoot, maintain and repair inverters and other systems at existing sites

Perform routine testing and repair of AC and DC electrical circuits for maximum site production

Ensure site safety and security

Have in-depth knowledge of potential electrical hazards and use proper LOTO procedures to safe guard work space before repairs or maintenance is performed

Log and record all maintenance activities performed for customers

Accurately report and relay information on a consistent basis to customers, site leads, project managers and other supervision in a clear and concise manner to ensure efficient resolution to all site management activities

Adhere to all site safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, and safe working practices

Advanced knowledge of operational characteristics of equipment and control devices installed on sites

Perform all solar and/or Bess site activities not listed above

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Required:

Ability to operate a computer to interact with onsite equipment with proficiency in Microsoft programs, Procore and similar management sites

Ability to work independently on customer-provided commissioning documentation

Positive attitude, ability to collaborate with other team members, and a professional appearance

Advanced level of electronic principles knowledge to perform detailed troubleshooting

Electrical testing equipment knowledge (multimeter, IV Curve Tracer, TTR, insulation resistance etc.)

Proficient in repairing and maintaining inverters, and weather stations

2+ years solar experience (O&M and commissioning experienced preferred.)

Valid drivers license and good driving record to operate company vehicles

High school diploma or GED

E1/E2 electrical license

Preferred:

General knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70e, LOTO, and First Aid training.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Required:

Ability to work in an outside environment in any type of weather

Lift items 40-50 pounds

Walk on uneven ground

Ability to work on flat roofs

Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding

Ability to wear and safely utilize all PPE required to perform tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: based on experience $35 and up
