Material Runner

Job Description POSITION: Material Runner DWS ENERGY Founded in 2014, DWS Energy is a rapidly expanding, multi-disciplinary electrical construction company focused on Building Management Controls Installation, Electrical Power & Controls Fabrication services in our UL-508A certified shop and Commercial Solar EPC and O&M services. The organization has expanded its service offerings throughout its tenure and continues to grow at an accelerated rate.

OVERVIEW:

The Material Runner role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of materials required by the job site. To ensure that they are delivered and dispatched on time according to the operational needs of the business.

DUTIES:

The duties and responsibilities of the Material Runner may include but is not limited to:

• Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks or other equipment as needed
• Manage inflow and outflow of product
• Execute local deliveries of material/equipment to job sites
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods in a timely and professional manner
• Communicate effectively with Site Superintendents, PMs, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
• Assist with moving and organizing inventory in the warehouse as needed
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

The following are requested skills and qualifications:

• Electrical industry experience is preferred
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Ability to drive truck with a trailer (non-DOT)

REQUIREMENTS:

The following are physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry equipment and materials
• Must be able to do prolonged periods of driving, standing, walking
• Frequent exposure to outside weather on job sites
• Ability to walk job sites for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to frequently lift at least 50 lbs. solo
