Job Description Research Technician II

Occupational Summary

Conducts literature review and analysis of the water and carbon footprints associated with the life-cycle analysis of critical minerals required for renewable energy and electric cars in the USA. The candidate will help in quantifying the water consumption and withdrawal of the different stages (mining, processing, assembly, utilization) of producing critical minerals for solar, wind and battery (EVs) as part of the energy transformation in the U.S. Experience in life-cycle analysis of water and carbon footprints is necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Work generally requires a bachelor’s degree in botany, biology, zoology, psychology or other directly related scientific field.

Preferred Education

Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences, Geosciences, Chemistry, or other, directly related, scientific fields.

Experience

None required above education/training requirement or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
