Job Description


Our Cary, NC office is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer I. This is an entry level role for recent Mechanical Engineering graduates. This role will contribute to the creation of design documents to support construction projects for the life sciences and high-tech manufacturing industries. Common work products will include generation of design documents such as building HVAC, Plumbing, and other mechanical building systems’ drawings and specifications. You will be responsible for developing layouts while working in tandem with project managers and engineers across multiple disciplines while identifying deliverables, defining requirements, and creating design drawings in Revit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform conceptual and detailed designs for the Life Sciences industry.
  • Design Water Side and Air Side HVAC Systems, Process Exhaust, Mechanical Utilities Systems, Wet and Dry Fire Protection systems.
  • Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing construction progress observations.
  • Perform quality reviews on designs performed by others.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Engineering program such as Aerospace, Nuclear, or Engineering Science.
  • Years of experience
  • Revit experience is preferred, working knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook required
