Job Overview:

The Residential EV Manager will be responsible for estimating, selling, scheduling, and managing all residential EV projects, including those from Qmerit, Tesla, and other partnerships. The ideal candidate has a journeyman electrical license and a passion for sales and project management of residential EV projects. The role will be to understand OEM programs and work with technicians to ensure they can succeed during installations. This position will work directly with the Business Development and Operations Manager on all program requirements and project opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Estimating & Sales:

• Accurately estimate project costs, prepare detailed proposals, and sell EV installation services to residential clients.
• Track all leads from Qmerit, Tesla, and other partnerships to ensure all opportunities are captured.
• Capture additional sales opportunities with EV customers, like battery systems or electrical upgrades.
• Develop new partnerships and generate new EV leads.
• Work with the Business Development and Operations Manager to drive new business and utilize business development best practices.

Scheduling:

• Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of all EV installations.

Project Management:

• Oversee all aspects of EV installation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and client expectations.
• Ensure all installations are permitted and inspected. Do proper load calculations for each installation.

Partnership Coordination:

• Manage relationships with key partners such as Qmerit, Tesla, and other EV-related companies to ensure smooth project execution.

Client Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

Team Leadership:

• Coordinate with and lead a team of electricians and subcontractors, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Compliance:

• Ensure all projects comply with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Ensure all installations are permitted and inspected. Do proper load calculations for each installation.

Problem-Solving:

• Quickly identify and resolve any issues that arise during the project to keep work on track and within budget.

Documentation:

• Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project completion reports.

Training:

• Stay up to date with new products and ensure all technicians are properly trained.
• Obtain certifications for specific EV products through Qmerit of the manufacturer.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• A licensed electrician with relevant certifications in MA.
• Proven experience in project management, preferably within the electrical or EV installation industry.
• Strong understanding of residential and light commercial electrical systems.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint), Bluebeam or Adobe, and other industry-related tools
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean Background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with EV installations and partnerships such as Qmerit, Tesla or other similar organizations.
• Knowledge of renewable energy systems and technologies.
• Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or related fields.
• Experience with CRM systems like Hubspot and sales force
