JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for loading and unloading trucks and rail cars at Outside Operator level and assisting Board Operators. Board Operator sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • One (1) or more years related experience (Preferred)
  • Required CertIfications/Licensures: (Certified to operate a forklift)

Ability to work in temperature range of below freezing to 100 Degrees, Work effectively, safely and comfortably in PPE , Walk and or stand from 1-11 hours per shift , Sitting 1-3 hours on the shift , Ability to lift up to 40 pounds , Ability to upload and offload railcars, Climb ladders, stairs

  • Test incoming product samples against specifications and report any out of spec results
  • Monitors and Operates equipment as needed/authorized
  • May be certified to work as Console Operator in a temporary capacity as needed
  • Experienced Operators may be required to train/mentor entry level operators
  • Assist maintenance personnel as needed
  • Must successfully complete refresher training as required
  • Load and Unload trucks and railcars
  • Participate in all safety meetings and training
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
