Electrical Engineering Manager – Solar PV + BESS

Position Overview Our company is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Manager to oversee our team of engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in renewable energy projects, particularly BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and utility-scale solar. This role will require a combination of technical expertise, management skills, and project management abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of engineers and technicians to support all aspects of the electrical engineering process
• Develop project plans and schedules, and ensure timely completion of deliverables
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team, including reviewing and approving design documents and calculations
• Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis for potential projects
• Perform quality control checks on project designs and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in renewable energy technology
• Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to ensure timely and cost-effective material and equipment procurement
• Manage project budgets and monitor expenses
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy projects
• Proficient in BESS, Solar/Photovoltaic, Utility-scale solar, and grid interconnection
• Experience with civil design, SCADA, PVSyst, SAM, and ETAP/SKM software
• Familiarity with CYMCAP and WinIGS/CDEGS is a plus
• Strong project management skills and experience in leading teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
