Job Summary:

The Director of Product Management will spearhead the strategic direction for Greenstones existing product lines and drive innovation for next-generation solutions. This role involves negotiating and collaborating with customers, partners, third-party technology providers, and external executives, while aligning with Greenstone and Culturas objectives, financial guidelines, and legal standards.
The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of business acumen and technical expertise, to create and present well-supported proposals to management committees. The Director will translate market insights into actionable strategies, ensuring quick and profitable implementation aligned with investment decisions.
We seek a visionary leader with a deep understanding of commercial software development and the ability to distill complex relationships and solutions into clear, visual strategies. This role requires effective internal and external communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities include driving product innovations, enhancing the efficiency of existing offerings, and leading a team of product managers. The Director will work closely with all departments to develop and implement sustainable strategies that build on the companys success. This position reports directly to the General Manager of Greenstone.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
The Director of Product Management will oversee a team of Product Managers responsible for developing and maintaining product plans, designs, architecture, and go-to-market strategies. These Product Managers will also handle the day-to-day operations of their teams. Additionally, the Director will have direct responsibility for managing a Product Designer/UX specialist.
The success of the Director of Product Management will be evaluated based on several key metrics, including net revenue growth, bookings, profitability, internal business ratios, customer retention, internal rate of return (IRR), market adoption of new products, and employee retention.
Leadership
  • Drive innovation in our current products & solutions.
  • Drive innovation in new product initiatives.
  • Bring to market a next generation solution to capture new markets.
  • Deliver annual, quarterly, and monthly P&L forecasts and results for all product lines.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues and staff.
  • Lead and support large scale change.
  • Develop a team of product managers, designers and data analysts to support business growth;
Sales & Marketing
  • Accountable for GTM development for new product initiatives.
  • Work with marketing and sales team to ensure long-term funnel growth and health.
Product Management
  • Accountable for governance of products to ensure adherence to scope, budget, schedule, and quality delivery.
  • Escalate problem projects to VBU leadership, as necessary.
Customer Care
  • Support the effective long-term customer success program for customers while managing attrition for and existing customer on Greenstone solutions.
  • Execute an effective solution adoption program for customers.
Research and Development
  • Balance the investment in R&D with the investment in maintenance to maximize new business growth and retention of existing customers.
  • Ensure clear Product Plans are established, executed, and pivoted to respond to market needs.

  • Experience bringing new product initiatives to market, including building financial plans to measure IRR on new product investments
  • Excels at time management and thrives progressing multiple strategic projects simultaneously
  • Able to travel throughout North America and abroad for important customer and partner meetings, as well as corporate meetings
Required Experience
  • 10 years of software Product Management and/or software development experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Agriculture, Agribusiness, and/or AgTech
  • At least 5 years of senior leadership experience
