About Crux

Crux is a sustainable finance technology company changing the way clean energy and decarbonization projects are financed in the U.S. The company’s first offering is the platform for buyers, sellers, and intermediaries to transact and manage transferable tax credits. Since its launch in 2023, Crux has raised over $27 million in funding from venture capital and strategic investors and built a world-class team that merges expertise from energy, tax, finance, government, and technology to power the clean energy transition.

Who we’re looking for

We are adding a Content Marketing Strategist to enhance our content offerings, market analysis, and thought leadership, and to accelerate our top of funnel sales pipeline. This role will report to the Head of Growth, Emily Hughes.

Together, we are building a company where we:

  • Care for each other: We are a team where people support each other – in their growth, in their work, and towards this shared mission.
  • Build and improve rapidly: We optimize for pace of learning, iteration, and growth. Nobody will move faster than us.
  • Focus unremittingly on the needs of those financing the energy transition: Nothing we do matters if we do not add value to everyone who works tirelessly to finance the energy transition.
  • Demonstrate ownership: We are all owners of Crux. This is our team, our company, our product.
  • Convene a team that reflects the breadth of experiences in the country: We expect everyone on the team to actively help us build a team where people of all backgrounds can thrive.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with our Policy & Research Strategist, Katie Bays, to develop content that enhances Crux’s brand, thought leadership, and sales pipeline and conversion.
  • Drive top-of-funnel growth by creating high-impact content like case studies, newsletters, blog posts, webinars, and industry reports.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive, SEO-focused content calendar to ensure consistent, high-quality output across all formats.
  • Craft and optimize sales and partnership collateral, including decks, one-pagers, teasers, and videos, to boost engagement and conversions.
  • Repurpose long-form content into various formats to extend its reach and impact.
  • Own the corporate social media calendar and collaborate with the executive team on individual social media posts.

Who you are

  • You have 5+ years of content marketing experience in clean energy and/or sustainable finance (required).
  • You’re able and eager to become an expert in transferable tax credits and energy project finance.
  • You’re skilled in creating and managing content calendars, presentations, and decks that drive engagement.
  • You’re an exceptional writer, capable of quickly adopting our tone and producing high quality content with minimal editing.
  • You have a strong understanding of SEO and its role in enhancing content performance and driving traffic.
  • You excel at analyzing and interpreting complex data sets from multiple sources to craft compelling narratives.
  • You’re adaptable, thriving in environments with shifting priorities, and can drive processes that align with marketing goals.
  • You’re comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, partnering with design and marketing teams to create impactful content.
  • You’re adaptable, excited about building in an early-stage environment, and willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
  • You love solving new challenges and finding innovative solutions.
  • You’re eager to contribute to and help shape our team culture.

What we offer

  • Estimated all-in cash compensation of $120,000-140,000
  • Competitive equity package
  • Healthcare benefits, including dependent coverage
  • Remote-first company
  • Travel stipend to get the team together at least once a quarter
  • Ability to attend conferences as desired

We are excited to meet you!
