Position Summary:
This position will serve as the Communications and Events Coordinator for the Community Energy Program at Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Nassau County and will provide administrative direction, management and coordination of all communications and marketing related to the Community Energy Program. This position will plan, initiate and facilitate a variety of marketing, event coordination and development plans/activities to meet overall goals and objectives of the Community Energy Program.
The Community Energy Program seeks to serve members of disadvantaged communities with education and support for reducing home energy use and transitioning to renewable energy, as well as lifting up their voices to contribute to state programming and policy. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a communications and marketing strategy, using a variety of media, including regular newsletter/newspaper articles and case studies, and radio and mailer ads.

POSITION DETAILS:
This position is a full-time, exempt position, 40 hours per week, 100% FTE. The annual salary for this position is $62,400.00 – $65,000.00. This position, based on eligibility, offers a comprehensive benefit package, to include: health and dental insurance, NYS retirement, vacation and sick leave.
