Job Description

Continuum Industries is a GreenTech company accelerating new linear infrastructure route development – with confidence. We have developed an AI-powered tool called Optioneer that helps plan new infrastructure projects much faster and at lower risk. Since launch, we have supported over 40,000 km of new linear infrastructure – underground and subsea power cables, overhead transmission lines, hydrogen and water pipelines. Our customers include large enterprises like SSE, National Grid, SGN, BP, RWE and Xodus Group.
We’ve just closed our Series A and we’re entering an exciting new phase of growth and scaling our commercial function. We are now looking to hire an Enterprise BDR to join our high-performing Sales team.

In this role, you will report into the Head of Business Development and partner closely with your Enterprise Account Director to execute on a defined outbound sales strategy. Your responsibilities:

  • Engaging prospects via cold outreach and organising initial calls/meetings for senior sales team members
  • Mapping out each prospect organisation and identifying the appropriate stakeholders for outreach
  • Initiative to do independent research & learn about Energy / Utilities industry trends, what key initiatives and objectives our customer organisations are planning
  • Carrying out a defined number of cold calls & email outreach daily using some of the following software: Outreach, Salesloft, Hubspot, Salesforce, Gong, Chorus.ai and LinkedIn SalesNav
  • Being accountable for hitting Qualified Meeting goals, measured monthly
  • Creating relationships with customers to identify their potential needs, qualify their interest and determine sales viability
  • Collaborating closely with an Account Executive counterpart to maximise conversion of outbound activities
  • Keeping CRM records and meeting notes up to date
  • Document and follow daily activities and process/best practice
  • Staying up-to-date with industry market news and the latest developments within Energy and Utilities infrastructure

You will bring:

  • Business acumen and a desire to grow your commercial skills
  • Natural curiosity and an interest in, or understanding of renewable energy development and utilities infrastructure development
  • Persuasive communication skills over the phone
  • Concise & compelling copywriting skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Persistence and tenacity in the face of obstacles
  • Bonus points for at least 6 months of Sales experience
