PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Inventory Control Coordinator is a multifaceted position that is essential to maintaining accurate inventory levels at the Everett LNG Facility. The primary responsibility of the Inventory Control Coordinator is to oversee all activities related to inventory control management. Activities include, but are not limited to, shipping and receiving, maintaining accurate inventory levels, replenishing stock, and coordinating material needs with all departments.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accurately store, count & issue materials, equipment, components and supplies to support facility needs
  • Receive & store a wide variety of materials, equipment, components and supplies to support facility needs
  • Load & Unload materials, equipment, components, and supplies of varying sizes, shapes, & weights
  • Operate equipment, e. forklifts, in a safe manner while loading, offloading and or handling materials.
  • Coordinate with purchasing/procurement on the requisitioning of materials, equipment, components, and supplies
  • Coordinates with maintenance to determine required spare parts quantities and reorder points
  • Perform commercial receipt of incoming materials, equipment, components, and supplies, verify compliance with Purchase order requirements, and document as required into computerized inventory/accounting
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of safety
  • Ability to work within a maintenance organization
  • Ability to understand the consequences and mitigation steps necessary to assure process plant reliability
  • Ability to be trained to operate forklifts & similar material handling
  • Ability to work Shift Work
  • Excellent customer service skills, well-organized and able to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening
  • Work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times

Essential Physical Abilities

Capable of frequently standing walking balancing sitting climbing (ladders, stairs, ramps, catwalks, stacks and the like as required) stooping squatting crouching crawling kneeling reaching grasping pushing pulling lifting (min. 201bs) feeling talking and hearing.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma OR
  • Three to five years of experience in spare parts and inventory control in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of plant maintenance operations and processes in a related industry
  • Familiar with Work Control, Planning and Maintenance functions as it relates to Supply Operations.
  • Maintain current Massachusetts Hoisting license

Working Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Indoors – 60%, Outdoors – 40%
