Position: Procurement Manager (Non-Production)

Location: Dallas, TX

Company Overview: Our client is a leading solar energy company committed to providing innovative and sustainable energy solutions. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement Manager to join their team and oversee the purchasing of non-production products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement:

○ Develop and implement procurement strategies for non-production products, including office supplies, IT equipment, services, and other indirect materials.

○ Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Supplier Management:

○ Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing supplier performance.

○ Conduct regular evaluations and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.

Contract Management:

○ Prepare and manage contracts with vendors, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and aligned with company policies.

○ Monitor contract performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Cost Control:

○ Monitor and analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.

○ Implement best practices to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses.

Inventory Management:

○ Oversee inventory levels for non-production items, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet organizational needs.

○ Coordinate with various departments to forecast demand and manage inventory efficiently.

Compliance and Risk Management:

○ Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.

○ Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement of non-production goods and services.

Team Leadership:

○ Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

○ Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

Education:

○ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is preferred.

Experience:

○ Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on non-production products and services.

○ Experience in the renewable energy or solar industry is a plus.

Skills:

○ Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

○ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

○ Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

○ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

○ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
