A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GEOTHERMAL DRILLING ASSISTANT

Your day begins early, working outdoors in the beautiful landscapes of Colorado. As a Geothermal Drilling Assistant, you start by setting up drilling equipment and ensuring all tools are ready for the day. You’ll shovel drill cuttings, load and unload drill rods, assist with grouting, assist with pipe fusing and headering and haul necessary equipment to and from the site. Throughout the day, you remain vigilant about safety, communicating effectively with your team, and taking initiative to solve problems as they arise. Your role is physically demanding, involving a lot of lifting, moving, and standing, but it’s also incredibly rewarding as you contribute to sustainable energy projects.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects (60-80 lbs) by hand
  • Quick learner with the ability to take initiative as well as constructive feedback
  • Reliable, punctual, and possessing a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Safety-oriented mindset
