Position Summary
Be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with potential clients in need of high-capacity power generation solutions, concentrating on growing the Generac Industrial brand. Assess client needs, provide tailored product recommendations and deliver technical expertise throughout the sales process. This role involves managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business. Additionally, the representative collaborates with internal teams to stay updated on product offering and industry trends.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify and target potential clients through market research and outreach strategies
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations
- Understand customer requirements, and provide tailored power solutions
- Collaborate with Generac engineering and product teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date product knowledge
- Negotiate pricing and terms of sales agreements to close effectively
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and market
- Collaborate with Clifford service and project management team to resolve post sale issues
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and progress in CRM system
- Assist in onboarding of new sales team members as needed
- Continuously improve product knowledge and sales techniques through ongoing training and professional development
- Promote all Clifford Power sales channels
Requirements
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the emergency power generation industry
- Basic Knowledge of diesel and natural gas engine generators or electrical knowledge is a strong plus

Physical Requirements
This position will be working primarily indoors or outdoors in a climate-controlled, smoke-free environment, but also requires the employee to be moving through other areas on a regular basis. From this movement, the employee will encounter varying temperatures from these areas. Normal auto and air travel hazards will apply. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be higher in other areas.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
The employee must have a full range of body movements including use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, computer equipment and peripherals; and bending, reaching, and crouching.
Must have command of sight, hearing, touch and smell. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
