Support CLEAResult’s Carbon Consulting practice advising organizations on energy and Greenhouse Gas reduction strategies. Leads design and development of technical strategies and carbon-free energy audits, performs ASHRAE levels 1 – 3 energy audits, develops M&V Plans and Reports, conducts analysis to inform and recommend GHG and energy savings, and develops plans and provides reporting that contributes to the success of contracts. Creating tools and structure for the engineering portion of our GHG reduction plans, writing and informing technical documents and publications, and conducting quality reviews of content. Provides general project oversight, and quality control/assurance, and continuously informs customers and project team of updates and necessary adjustments. Supports business development efforts and proactively seeks new project opportunities.

You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…

  • Lead important and complex technical work, independently and with minimal technical supervision. Examples include
  • Perform ASHRAE level I – III energy audits unassisted at large commercial and industrial facilities;
  • Perform carbon-assessments to primarily quantify Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions, and GHG emission savings tied to energy efficiency measures;
  • Develop IPMVP adherent M&V Plans and M&V Reports to accurately assess energy savings;
  • Oversee the development of calculators and measure configurations;
  • Create budget calculators for quick pricing of engineering services.
  • Be the established and trusted technical advisor to Carbon Consulting Team.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to our program teams related to subject matter expertise.
  • Author work papers for new GHG savings or energy efficiency measures, with technical oversight.
  • Develop project scopes, with oversight from engineering management.
  • Calculate energy savings and GHG savings for projects using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics.
  • Be entrepreneurial. Not afraid of new challenges and interested in tackling difficult decarbonization problems.
  • Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct and report on Carbon Free (ASHRAE level 1-3) audits including:
    • Energy Efficiency
    • Operations & Maintenance
    • Renewable Energy including solar feasibility and storage
    • Beneficial Electrification
    • Fugitive Emissions Analysis
    • Develop IPMVP adherent M&V Plans and M&V Reports
    • Managing Projects for clients
    • Interfacing with Clients
    • Experience leading development of written reports and engineering studies for clients

    Experience Required

    • 4+ years’ experience
    • BS Engineering degree
    • Project Management experience
    • Client-facing experience

    Bonus Experience

    • P.E. or willing to study and pass P.E. exam within first year of employment.
    • Design experience with low carbon or renewable energy technology (e.g., heat pumps, charging stations, solar, hydrogen, geothermal, or electrification, etc.)
    • Professional experience with a design software
    • Understanding of high-tech industrial manufacturing processes and/or large commercial HVAC systems
    • CEM, CMVP or LEED certified.

    Target Compensation

    $120,000 – $135,000

    Compensation Range

    $117,700.00 – $176,600.00
