The HR Manager position is at a Gypsum Board Plant located in Nashville, AR (Population <5,000) where in a quarry north of town, an archaeological dig uncovered one of the largest dinosaur trackways in the world.
The plant was founded in 1962, there are approximately 183 employees on 2,700 acres of land with multiple lakes.
You can dig for diamonds in the nearby town of Murfreesboro, AR, or visit the birthplace of the 42nd president of the United States of America, Bill Clinton, by driving no more than 20 and 35 mins respectively.
If you like weekend getaways this location is also roughly an hour and a half drive to Hot Springs, AR.
What’s the job?
Accountable for the identification of HR needs to support the team at a continuous process manufacturing operation in Nashville, AR. You will focus on the development, implementation, and follow through company initiatives and needs identified.
People Development/Employee Relations/Compliance – Educating leaders on requirements, company policies, & guidelines. Fosters positive relationships to promote a positive working environment and employee engagement.
Recruiting – Partners with Plant Leadership to present/forecast staffing needs. Oversees recruiting activities to include vetting candidates, coordinating/participating in site interview processes, and integrating new employees through orientation/onboarding activities.
Safety – Supports safety and health programs; coordinates training as required by regulatory agencies, such as worker’s compensation, OSHA, MSHA, and various state agencies; monitors & assists departments with reporting and all onsite inspections by regulatory agencies.
