Operations Managers at Centrica Business Solutions are responsible for building, leading and managing a team that consistently and safely delivers projects to meet the customers expectations, schedules, quality standard, financial targets and all compliance regulations.
Looking for someone to be near the Dallas, Houston, San Antonio or Austin area but open to other locations for the right candidate. Must to able to travel occasionally (10-25%).
Our Operations Managers contributions to the team include:
- Providing direct leadership to the operations team and ensuring that individual performance is actively managed in accordance to Centrica Business Solutions practices at all levels within the team.
- Leading the Business Unit operations team through delivery of core energy efficiency solutions as well as emerging technologies including solar PV, EV Charging, Battery Energy Storage, Water Efficiency and others.
- Working with Project Managers to develop and maintain project plans and schedules while monitoring project delivery success and financial performance.
- Effectively managing and deploying resources to optimize success of project delivery across the Business Unit; resources including personnel, subcontractors, fleet vehicles, etc.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with a strong network of subcontractors and vendors within the Business Unit territory enabling Centrica Business Solutions to consistently deliver safe, successful, and profitable projects.
- Managing performance objectives for 10+ team members, including Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and Installation Technicians to deliver projects safely in multiple states in parallel.
- Advising on organizational strategy and direction as a member of the business unit leadership team.
- Contributing to a strong internal culture, promoting team success through ownership and accountability.
- Instilling a passion for excellence to deliver top quality for our customers.
The core components of success are (i.e. must haves):
- At least 10 years of demonstrated success in Project Management or Project Engineering in the construction industry of projects in excess of $5MM
- At least 5 years of experience overseeing commercial solar projects
- At least 5 years of experience managing a team
- Proactive, can-do mindset
- Bias for action and enthusiasm for problem solving
- Active Drivers License
The following are a definite plus, so if youve got it be sure to tell us!
- Bachelors or Advanced Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or Business
- Previous experience with Energy Performance Contracting
- Prior experience overseeing mechanical, lighting or other energy efficiency projects
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Contractor Licenses preferred or the ability to obtain a Contractor License to perform contracting work throughout the region (as needed).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$160,000 + bonus + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
