Job Description: General Foreman – Medium Voltage (MV) Cable

Overview: CEC Energy is seeking a qualified General Foreman specializing in Medium Voltage Cable for a significant solar installation project in Helena, Arkansas. The General Foreman will provide crucial site leadership, overseeing day-to-day operations of MV crews and ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely completion of utility-scale solar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate MV crews, ensuring adherence to project schedules and safety protocols.
- Facilitate project planning, execution, and quality control to ensure high standards of workmanship.
- Communicate effectively with foremen, crews, subcontractors, and project teams to maintain project alignment and progress.
- Utilize knowledge of AC, DC, and MV electrical work to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Monitor crew production and ensure daily installation goals are met.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to guide crew activities accurately.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members, promoting a culture of safety and productivity.
- Complete daily reports and administrative tasks as required by project management.
- Undertake special assignments and support management directives as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid drivers license.
- 3-5 years of experience in direct burial medium voltage installations.
- Proficiency in pulling, prepping, and terminating medium voltage cables.
- Ability to identify and verify continuity of medium voltage cables using appropriate tools.
- Strong leadership and management skills with experience in overseeing multiple crews.
- Capability to set and achieve labor and production goals.
- Familiarity with cable plowing techniques preferred.
- Solar installation experience is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
