About This Opportunity

We are hiring a Program Manager (PM) to manage day-to-day operations and lead program staff focused on utility-funded, industrial energy efficiency project outreach and facilitation. The PM is responsible for coaching program staff to be trusted advisors who will identify energy projects and provide analysis. Program staff work directly with industrial customers and service providers to navigate utility energy efficiency programs, overcome project obstacles and work with other stakeholders to drive energy savings.

The PM is responsible for the program and for managing the continuous improvement process for delivery of service, program metrics, workflow management, talent optimization and cost effectiveness. The PM executes performance monitoring and escalation processes, as well as monthly/quarterly/annual reporting. The PM manages the customer retention strategy and assists in pricing and contracting of new work. The PM oversees and guides the program team to continuously improve the programs core offerings with new and innovative energy savings tools and processes.

This full-time, exempt position is located in our Park Ridge, Illinois office and reports to the Midwest Program Director. The role allows remote work and requires regular in-person gatherings with program staff and utility clients. The position requires approximately 10% travel, most of which is local.

Qualifications

As a part of our team, the most important qualifications are shared values, a customer-centric approach, and an aptitude for learning. You would be a great fit for this position if you have:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other related field of study
  • At least 8 years of project management experience, preferably in utility-funded energy efficiency programs or a related industry
  • Experience leading a multi-faceted team toward high quality execution
  • An ability to manage long-term client relationships so that priorities are understood, strategies implemented, and goals met.
  • Experience in an industrial setting and knowledgeable of industrial equipment and utilities
  • An understanding of the industrial project approval process as well as typical barriers to this process and techniques for working through these barriers

Compensation & Benefits

Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. These include health (90% paid for team member, 70% paid for dependents on HDHP plans and 85% paid for team member, 65% paid for dependents on PPO plans), vision, FSA or HSA options with an employer contribution, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid parental leave, 401k retirement plan with a guaranteed 3% contribution, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), annual cash performance bonus, paid vacation, sick time, and an inclusive, flexible paid holiday policy. New for 2024 we are excited to add an additional wellbeing contribution of $500 for HSA, FSA, or LSA (Lifestyle Spending Account).

The salary range for this position in Chicago, IL is $110,775 – $148,890 encompasses two levels within Cascade as we are open to those meeting the minimum requirements as listed above to those with more experience. However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
