About This Opportunity

We are seeking a People Team (HR) Generalist who is responsible for the administration of the companys human resource policies, procedures, and programs. This entails oversight of the following functional areas, in collaboration with the rest of the People Team. Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Performance Management, Compliance, Recruiting and On-Boarding. The HR Generalist provides guidance and support toward the on-going development of a team-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes the core values of the company and its do the right thing approach. This role requires a hands-on approach to the HR discipline with the ability to influence strategy as well as handle day-to-day tactical issues and concerns. Success depends heavily on communication abilities with employees at all levels, general staff, vendors, and outside resources.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • HRIS Admin & Data Analysis: Serving as in-house HRIS super user-troubleshoot and train/coach users; Reporting and analysis of data; Assisting in evaluation of reports, decisions, and department KPIs in relation to established goals; Maintaining Human Resource Information System records; Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and professional organizations
  • HR Admin / Recruiting Support: Maintaining work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions; completing job offer letters for external candidates and internal employees; managing pre-employment new hire onboarding; assisting with post-employment new hire orientations
  • Benefits: Benefits administration to include troubleshooting and resolution of issues, change reporting, open enrollment support, and communicating benefit information to employees; benefit compliance reporting
  • Compensation: Supporting evolution of our compensation program utilizing research and standard practices, making revisions and updates as needed; supporting Hiring Managers with internal/external offers, job leveling, pay equity and discrepancies
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation, advising management on needed actions
  • Employee Relations Support: Helping to improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; assisting with employee relations, including providing guidance and feed back to employees, managers, and the leadership team; conducts exit interviews

This is a full-time, exempt position to be located preferably in Oregon state, others may be considered.

Minimal travel is anticipated for this role.

Qualifications

Applicants for this role are required to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or other related field of study
  • Minimum of 5+ years as an HR Generalist in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced experience in HRIS systems, Dayforce a plus
  • Compliance Reporting

A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:

  • PHR Certification or HR Management Certificate
  • Experience working with a company larger than 250 employees
  • Experienced in the support and execution of HR initiatives, plans, and policies
  • Experience creating and developing processes and documentation (SOP)
  • proficiency in tools that help eliminate manual steps from HR processes by automating and integrating to ensure greater operational efficiency

Compensation & Benefits

Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. These include health (90% paid for team member, 70% paid for dependents on HDHP plans and 85% paid for team member, 65% paid for dependents on PPO plans), vision, FSA or HSA options with an employer contribution, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid parental leave, 401k retirement plan with a guaranteed 3% contribution, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), annual cash performance bonus, paid vacation, sick time, and an inclusive, flexible paid holiday policy. New for 2024 we are excited to add an additional wellbeing contribution of $500 for HSA, FSA, or LSA (Lifestyle Spending Account).

The salary range for this position in Portland OR is $63,000 – $77,000. However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
