Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our residential electrical and solar energy division. As the GM, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, from project management and customer relations to team leadership and business development. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in electrical and solar energy systems, coupled with exceptional managerial skills to drive growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the residential electrical and solar energy division, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to industry standards.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technicians, engineers, and administrative staff to deliver exceptional service and achieve performance targets.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of residential electrical and solar projects, ensuring timely completion and quality craftsmanship.
- Customer Relations: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication, problem-solving, and resolution of issues, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
- Business Development: Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to expand market presence and increase revenue within the residential sector.
- Financial Management: Manage divisional budgets, forecast financial performance, and implement cost-effective measures to maximize profitability.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a managerial role within the residential electrical or solar energy industry, with a track record of successful project management and team leadership.
- Strong technical knowledge of residential electrical systems and solar energy solutions.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results, innovate, and adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
