Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Solar Consultant to become a key member of our dynamic sales team. We offer one of the most competitive commission rates in the industry. This is a 100% commission-based role where you have the flexibility to set your own hours. Commissions are earned in stages throughout the installation of each solar system.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial solar sales and be skilled in developing strategies that drive sales growth while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

This is a remote position reporting to our Newport Beach location.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and target markets
  • Generate leads and build a pipeline of prospective clients
  • Call and meet with existing and prospective clients in a designated region
  • Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy and the products/services offered
  • Assess customer needs and provide customized solar solutions
  • Perform job walks to gather required site-specific project information including necessary electrical switch gear information, potential areas for solar/storage/EV chargers, and identify potential issues
  • Attend industry events to source new leads, develop a professional network, and keep a pulse on trends
  • Some travel required within California
  • All other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the commercial solar industry
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Knowledge of solar energy systems, products, and industry trends
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales management tools
  • Strong organizational skills, able to work on multiple concurrent projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of various software products (MS Office, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload
  • Ability to write presentations, routine reports, proposals, and correspondence
  • Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate with customers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $400,000.00 per year
