Job Description

We are currently hiring a Field Project Engineer for our client in the Appleton, WI area. Job duties / requirements are listed below:

SUMMARY: Reports to the Engineering Director. This position’s primary focus is to drive field technical and construction activities for renewable natural gas facilities including anaerobic digesters, gas upgrade systems, pipelines, compressor station and other related facilities. All work will be performed in compliance with company standards, procedures, and government requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be able to read and interpret P&IDs and walk down systems for accuracy.
  • Must be able to understand construction sequencing and drive contractors to priority work and completeness.
  • Must be knowledgeable of construction codes (ASME, ANSI…) and confirm construction meets their requirements
  • Must be able to develop testing plans and observe NDE testing for completeness.
  • Must be able to create lists and monitor progress against list to create reporting
  • Works closely with third party draftsmen, pipe designers, and engineers to develop accurate and concise P&ID, PFD, cause/effect and other drawings as required by the project.
  • Must be able to handle assignments and projects with minimal supervision and complete within acceptable time standards.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: This position requires a degree in Engineering or a technical field from a 4 year accredited college or university, plus appropriate experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current valid driver’s license required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of individuals/employees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Position will be located in a field environment subject to a variety of weather and other conditions expected on construction locations
