Partner with the best

As Global Supplier Performance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the relationships with key suppliers for Baker Hughes. You will identify, develop and direct the implementation of supplier strategies while striving to ensure that Baker Hughes is properly represented as a customer.

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

  • Developing the vision, strategy, and implementation plan for specific key suppliers to meet the strategies set forth by the Category Leads as well as meeting the long-range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value for Baker Hughes.
  • Negotiating directly with suppliers in the portfolio to ensure products & services are purchased at or below market price.
  • Supporting Sourcing as required on tenders for suppliers in the assigned portfolio.
  • Interfacing directly with the leadership of key suppliers to assure alignment with Baker Hughes objectives. This includes quality, reliability, innovation, sustainability and cost, and to enable benefits for both parties.
  • Ensuring business arrangements are documented according to contractual obligation and working with Legal to ensure deviations from standard terms are acceptable.
  • Developing deep relationships with key suppliers through data review and analysis, performance management and development, and the improvement of end-to-end value.
  • Bringing innovation to the business.
  • Leading Sustainability discussions with identified suppliers with the focus on decarbonization, resource & waste minimization and managing diverse opportunities & human rights in the supply chain.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, or relevant subject); MBA desirable.
  • Possess considerable experience in Supply Chain, including demonstrable experience in a sourcing or procurement role.
  • Be highly proficient with core Procurement skills (e.g., supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, category management, procurement excellence, etc.)
  • Have established experience in developing and managing Supplier contracts.
