Operations Manager, Battery Storage

As a leader in our industry, we now have over 22 GW of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable energy projects in development and 33 projects in operation or construction across North America.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, reliability, and optimal performance across various operational processes while providing accurate and timely reporting to support data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations, including monitoring system performance and coordinating maintenance activities with internal teams and external contractors;
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and project management, to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement;
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all operations;
  • Lead, train, and develop operations staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and company procedures;
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational performance data, generating reports that highlight key insights, trends, and areas for improvement;
  • Prepare detailed operational reports and present them to senior management, offering recommendations for performance enhancements and process optimization;
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements;
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an operations/asset management role, preferably in a supervisory capacity;
  • Strong knowledge of operational best practices, with a focus on efficiency, process improvement, and reporting;
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate with other departments effectively;
  • Proficiency in generating and presenting operational reports, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights;
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards within the industry;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational data and make informed, data-driven decisions.

Compensation and Location:

Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience;

Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on individual performance and the overall success of the business;

Location: Hybrid (USA). Ability to work in the United States is a requirement. Preference is given to candidates located in the greater Los Angeles, CA area, or willing to relocate;

Travel: 20%
