Specialist, Insurance Pricing
Exton, PA I USA
In this role you will support the Head of Pricing, Primary Casualty and underwriters in all aspects of primary casualty pricing. There will be opportunity to support a variety of business segments including U.S. Risk Management, Construction Primary and Group Captives. You will have exposure to key business partners in underwriting, claims, reserving and pricing through individual account pricing, annual business planning and quarterly business review meetings.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
  • Contribute to the analysis of results for the overall portfolio to help determine the impact of pricing decisions on future business profitability.
  • Conduct deals specific pricing and collateral requirements.
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders in Underwriting, Finance, Reserving and Claims to improve pricing accuracy.
  • Contribute towards loss trend selections using both internal and external data to support the annual business planning process.
  • Support the monthly pricing metric process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of rate change and relative rate level metrics.
  • Support development, testing and calibration of pricing tools.
  • Assist in the update of parameters underlying the rating and pricing tools for primary product lines to support market leading technical pricing capabilities.
  • Support reinsurance purchasing with data and analysis.
You will report to Actuary, Insurance Pricing.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent ability to think strategically
Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience in commercial lines pricing
  • In the process of the early stages of the actuarial exams with intention to qualify in the Casualty Actuarial Society
  • Leadership skills to work collaboratively with colleagues to build consensus
  • Robust influencing and negotiating skills

The U.S. pay range for this position is USD 64,500 114,500. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individuals skills, experience, and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues pay.
