Job Description

AvCarb Material Solutions located in Wadsworth, OH and headquartered in Lowell, MA, develops and manufactures engineered carbon-based products for electrochemical hydrogen and energy storage applications, including advanced gas diffusion layers (GDLs), molded graphite laminates, woven carbon fabrics and carbon felts. We are a growing company with an entrepreneurial spirit and a mission in decarbonization technologies looking to add a full-time Induction Technician to our team.

The successful candidate will operate, inspect and maintain high temperature furnaces within established safety parameters.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operation of high temperature induction furnaces including the loading and unloading of material, monitoring of equipment during all run phases and cool down.
  • Perform detailed pre & post inspections of furnace prior to loading and unloading of each lot of material.
  • Dismantle and reassemble furnaces as necessary for cleaning and maintenance of the machinery.
  • Monitor equipment and record data to document all process readings to include normal and abnormal conditions.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance on furnaces, cooling water systems, and other associated equipment.
  • Building and disassembling of furnace loads.
  • Follow all established procedures without deviation.
  • Maybe required to multitask on various assignments.
  • Maintain good housekeeping to 6S standards.
  • Use of material handling equipment including cranes, tow motor, and scissor lift.
  • Follow all AvCarb HS&E policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to waste stream policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use MS Outlook.
  • Ability to accurately enter data into an MRP system. Epicor experience preferred.
  • Basic manufacturing mathematical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.76 – $35.15 per hour
