Renewable Financial Analyst

AVA are currently supporting a fast growth renewable developer in the US who are currently building out their financial analytics team. I am looking to speak with financial analysts with financial modelling experience in the energy sector.

This is a great opportunity for junior financial analysts to join an international operation as they expand their US team, whilst getting broad exposure to renewable finance.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly update and review financial models for wind, solar, and storage projects, providing economic assessments and feedback to the team.
• Create project comparisons, prioritize models using simulations and metrics, and assist in evaluating new financial modeling tools.
• Monitor key project inputs like costs, interest rates, tax incentives, and develop project revenue models, including forward energy curve analysis.
• Support reporting on project costs, revenues, and company liquidity, while tracking deviations from business plans and compliance with deadlines.

Skills & Abilities:

• Expert proficiency in MS Excel with strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Experience with forecasting, reporting cycles, and problem-solving in high-pressure environments.
• Capable of working independently with limited direction in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Organized, proactive, and able to make process improvement suggestions effectively.
