AUAV, a premier global drone service provider, operates extensively across Australia, the UK, and the US. As our US client base continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Drone Operator/Project Manager to spearhead projects in Texas.
Having established a strong presence in the United States through our UAV operations in the Oil and Gas industry, AUAV is now poised to explore new market opportunities in other emerging sectors for aerial solutions. With a robust infrastructure built around Oil and Gas inspections, we are well-positioned to expand into other industries.
We are seeking an experienced professional with the relevant UAV skill set to help us penetrate these new markets and drive the continuous growth of AUAV’s market share in the US.
This role will be based at the Katy Texas office of our sister company, Sonomatic, and will integrate with our established drone team.
Essential Skills:
· Over 5 years of experience in drone operations
· FAA Part 107 Certificate with an sUAS rating
· Proficiency with inspection drones and associated software, including but not limited to DJI fleet, Elios 3, or Scout DI 137
· Project management and client liaison experience
· Eligibility to work in the US
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for commuting to and from the office Monday through Friday.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office operating systems
Desirable Skills:
· Experience in the Wind Industry
· Experience in the Solar Industry
· Experience in the Utilities Industry, specifically in inspecting transmission lines, distribution lines, and communication towers
· Business development experience and industry specific contacts.
Employment Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Senior UAV Operator, you are responsible for the delivery of UAV operations on projects and project management to ensure time efficient and cost-effective delivery. The role liaises with the Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) and other project staff to ensure all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance (HSEQ) requirements are met.

· Act on behalf of the Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) to train, authorize pilots and approve flights where appropriate.
Project Management:
· Liaise with the sales team at project set up
· Project manage the scheduling and delivery of specific projects.
· Manage field operations for each project to ensure projects are delivered safely and on time.
· Ensure appropriate Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance (HSEQ) processes are followed throughout the project planning, data capture/processing and handover stages of a project.
· Liaise with clients/ asset owners as directed by the project manager for each project.
· Coordinate with the client including the delivery of results.

· Work with the sales team to price projects and develop the scope for delivery
