Join our client’s dynamic Offshore Wind Business as a Package Quality Manager – WTG, playing a critical role in the development and execution of a high-profile Key Package for an offshore windfarm. This exciting position offers the opportunity to lead multi-million-dollar projects, collaborate with international teams, and contribute to the advancement of renewable energy. As a pivotal member of the Package Leadership Team, you will shape delivery strategies, manage integrated site services contracts, oversee logistics, and lead offshore contractors, all while ensuring top-tier quality and HSE standards. Your role will be integral to our global offshore business organization, with activities spanning the US and multiple countries worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in relation to the package.
- Ensuring the quality of deliverables, materials / product, and services across all phases of the package (i.e., audit (1st and 2nd party)), design, manufacture, installation, commissioning. And handover), including continuous assessment to the QA/QC as a part of the QMS.
- Lead and coordinate quality site Inspectors in the different locations where the WTG and its components will be manufactured, attending to supplier project weekly and monthly meetings.
- Provide quality control to our supplies and contractors, coordination of inspections including reviewing technical specifications and Tenders.
- Supervising technical staff for inspection and tests.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience managing quality of Turbines supply and installation. Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control for onshore / offshore wind projects, preferably specific to Turbine supply and installation.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (QM, PE) are preferred.
- Competence in planning, tendering processes, contracting management, contract negotiations, and delivery of multi-million-dollar contracts up to the hand-over to O&M. Experience in managing packages and contracts requiring precise coordination across multiple disciplines.
- Knowledge of HSE legislation related to delivery, marine, and offshore key packages. Familiarity with offshore safety standards such as the Global Wind Organization (GWO).
