Job Description:
Work on one of the worlds largest Battery Energy Storage System Developers, for the client as their Commissioning Manager-Analytics. The primary roles are to conduct plant testing, performance testing, ISO/GIA/PPA Testing and startup of a Battery Energy Storage System and Solar Coupled Power systems. To act as the Owners representative to oversee aspects of the energy storage system including: compliance, status reporting, safety, startup, commissioning, and testing. Employees in this role manage and report on commissioning, and performance testing work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site.
Location:
The position involves occasional travel within the United States to project locations for testing purposes, with an estimated travel frequency of up to 25%. The remaining work is primarily remote, focused on providing support through SCADA monitoring.
Reports To:
Client Senior Cx Project Manager
Preferred Background:
Engineering or professional electrical career in power systems construction and startup with min 100MW-hr or 5 EA energy storage systems and commissioning. A background with BESS is required. Experience with SCADA is preferred.
Required Skill Sets:
Battery Energy Storage Systems installation and startup
Must have a thorough understanding of the technical, performance, and integration of Li-Ion batteries as part of ESS
Commissioning process creation
Understanding of containerized systems, skids, controllers/SCADA, transformers, combiners
Thorough understanding of DC systems (0-2,000Vdc) and AC systems (480V-34.5kV)
Experience with control and SCADA systems and troubleshooting
Organizations skills
Computer skills MS word, Excel and MS PowerPoint
Communication to third parties and executives
Ability to effectively organize and strategize schedules and plans.
