Superintendent – Solar

Appleton Finn has been tasked with finding top-tier candidates for a growing General Contractor specializing in Utility-Scale Solar projects throughout Texas.

We are seeking experienced Superintendents with a background in the renewable energy industry. The role involves overseeing assistant superintendents, subcontractors, and fostering strong customer relationships, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and supervise Assistant Superintendents, coordinating their schedules, budgets, and assignments.
• Develop logistics plans for the site.
• Collaborate on plans and specifications with design engineers.
• Assess and oversee budgets for materials and equipment.
• Engage in the creation and supervision of a project timeline, incorporating three week look ahead schedules.
• Facilitate productive pre-construction planning sessions and project site meetings.
• Supervise and monitor progress of work and productivity levels.
• Ensure a superior standard of health and safety on the site, adhering to applicable workplace safety and accident prevention protocols.
• Explore avenues for enhancing processes and procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or demonstrate extensive experience in the field.
• Minimum of 6 years construction experience, with proven supervisory experience.
• Proficient in overseeing utility projects of medium to large scale, preferably within the Solar sector.
