Title: Senior Subscriber Communications Manager

Salary: $125,000 – $135,000 + Annual Discretionary Bonus

Location: Remote – U.S.

Our client is a premier community solar company, offering clean energy solutions to both residential and commercial customers across local communities. They manage solar farms across the states, overseeing financing, development, maintenance, and customer service for the entire duration of the projects. Established in for close to 20 years, they have been pivotal in advancing solar energy to make renewable energy accessible and affordable for all.

Position Summary:

Our client seeks a Senior Subscriber Communications Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for subscribers. This role is key to maintaining subscriber engagement throughout the lifespan of community solar farms, enhancing brand loyalty, effectively conveying important subscription details, and minimizing subscription turnover.

The Senior Subscriber Communications Manager will collaborate with a cross-functional team, oversee direct reports, and coordinate with external vendors to utilize technology that streamlines communication efforts. Additionally, this role will set up KPIs and dashboards to track and improve communication effectiveness, with an emphasis on continuous improvement. Initially, the role involves strategy development, decision-making, and individual contributions, with potential for future team expansion.

The Senior Subscriber Communications Manager will work closely with the Senior Customer Experience Associate, Revenue Manager, and Senior Sales Manager. This is a full-time remote position, reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sustainable subscriber communication strategy.
  • Cultivate and enhance the subscriber voice and brand.
  • Craft impactful communications that foster a sense of community, emphasize collective impact, and position the company as the preferred community solar partner.
  • Lead the creation of internal and external subscriber content as needed.
  • Establish and refine the communication infrastructure for subscribers.
  • Set up KPIs and tracking dashboards to support subscriber retention efforts.
  • Optimize communications to manage subscriber engagement effectively without overwhelming them.
  • Oversee the Social Media Associate in building a subscriber community in each state.
  • Indirectly manage the Digital Marketing Analyst to ensure timely and effective deployment of subscriber email and text communications.
  • Write and deploy communications for routine updates, billing, engagement initiatives, and operational matters.
  • Maintain a customer-first approach, ensuring all communications are informed by customer insights.
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce subscriber turnover.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain subscriber turnover below 3%.
