Senior Power System Engineer
Position Description
We are seeking a Senior System Engineer to develop technical requirements and specifications for various energy storage projects. This role will lead the engineering services for all aspects of energy storage system modeling, interconnection applications, and project development. The ideal candidate will contribute to the software configurations necessary for the on-site performance of the energy management system. This position will significantly impact our success by ensuring technical execution continuity for some of the world’s most advanced energy storage installations.
Major Job Responsibilities

Battery Energy Storage System Design: Lead the design, modeling, optimization, and specification of battery energy storage systems using relevant products and tools.

Techno-Economic Modeling: Develop a techno-economic modeling tool for energy storage and hybrid systems that provides investment-grade analysis, simulating performance, degradation, warranty, costs, and revenue to optimize project economics.

Business Analysis and Integration: Create business analysis, interconnection insights, and integration models for the energy storage sector in an upstream energy market.

Preliminary Design: Develop preliminary single-line diagrams and quick layout diagrams for early-phase development of energy storage and renewable projects.

Project Design and Execution: Lead project design engineering, interconnection studies, and execution for energy storage project development.

Support and Commissioning: Assist in project design engineering, integration, execution, and commissioning.
Position Requirements

Educational Background: Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.

Experience: At least a year of experience in performing power system load flow, steady-state and stability analysis for energy storage and solar projects, as well as energy storage system modeling and interconnection studies.

Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Advanced Power Electronics, Power Systems Operations and Planning, Power Transmission/Distribution, and Renewable Electric Energy Systems.

Software Proficiency: Skilled in using PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, and AutoCAD.
