<General Description>
The Asset Analyst II is responsible for managing the commercial, contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations of renewable projects, which include a large utility solar project and a battery project in Texas. The role works closely with the accounting team to meet financial and tax requirements and coordinates with plant managers to propose asset management solutions. This position is ideal for professionals seeking to expand their expertise in asset management within the renewable energy sector and work in a small, dynamic team.
<Main Accountabilities>
Lead the annual budgeting process for both the project company and holding company, with clear justifications based on contracts and historical data.
Manage the monthly operating report, explaining variances between budget and actual results. Analyze variances, identify causes, and predict outcomes.
Lead the monthly year-end (YE) forecast with clear explanations for the assumptions used.
Manage cash flow, including cash distribution and vendor payments.
Coordinate with accounting and asset management service providers to ensure monthly financials (US GAAP and IFRS) are completed accurately and on time.
Ensure property tax limitations are applied to the project.
Oversee tax equity investor compliance tasks, including monthly reports, cash distribution, allocation, and managing asset management service providers.
Administer and manage significant project documents, ensuring the resolution of key project issues (e.g., financing, leasing, equipment warranties).
Renew insurance policies and manage claims with the assistance of insurance brokers.
Communicate with plant managers to propose asset management solutions.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those from NERC and ERCOT.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Contract employee (hourly wage) for the first two months of employment, permanent employee (salary based) from the third month if there are no problems.
<Minimum Qualifications>
Bachelors degree.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for database management and PowerPoint for presentations.
US Drivers License.
Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and build meaningful relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
