About the Role

The Quality Control Documentation Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end Quality Assurance document systems at AESC. This position will work to ensure that the customers’ quality requirements are exceeded at the plant. The Quality Control Documentation Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining Quality Systems to ensure audit readiness. The role works closely with operations to provide the knowledge, planning, implementation and support necessary to maintain the Quality expected by our customers. This position is a core member of the audit team for Corporate, third-party certification, and regulatory audits. Leads activities to support the plant in ensuring compliance with all relevant quality standards and to ensure adherence to company standards.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for cataloging and maintaining the company wide document control system. This includes Manufacturing and Corporate quality system standard operating procedures, raw materials and finished goods specifications, policies, forms, templates, work instructions, job aids, process flows, external documentation, and records.
  • Reviews new and revised controlled documentation for appropriate format, content and consistency with other documentation and compliance to document control procedures.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify areas of opportunity to develop necessary documentation, practices, and processes.
  • Trains all cross-functional teams during implementation of new procedures and practices related to document control.
  • Assists Quality leadership in routinely maintaining and upkeeping the Quality Dashboards and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) with minimal oversight.
  • Periodically audits documents used to ensure documents are in the latest revision.
  • Acts as the voice of Document Control during the quality audits.
  • Tracks and reports progress on document creation and changes.
  • Oversees the documentation of the Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) lifecycle from initiation of root cause investigations through implementation of corrective actions.
  • Assists production, warehouse, and quality personnel as required is documentation procedures and policies.
  • Performs timely escalations with strong communication skills across all levels of organization.
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards.
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards.

What You Need

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or a related field is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment adhering to quality standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the development of processes and documentation supporting a fast-paced manufacturing and production environment is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
  • Ability to prioritize and pivot daily activities driven by production urgency.
  • Background in supporting a highly technical automotive-related manufacturing environment is highly desired.

  • Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is advantageous, as it aligns with our global operations and enhances communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Previous experience working in cross-cultural environments, or a demonstrated understanding of cultural nuances would be beneficial, given our global presence and diverse team.
  • Experience or familiarity with the dynamics of start-up environments, showcasing an ability to thrive in agile and fast-paced settings.

Travel

Occasional domestic and international travel required.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic.
