Job Title: Electrical Helper
Job Description
Solar electrical helpers will work on a community-sized, ground-mounted commercial solar farm. They will assist electricians on the electrical scope of the project. Tasks include staging materials, pulling wire, completing connections, conduit installation, completing home runs, and assisting electricians. Candidates may also assist with non-electrical tasks like assembling racking or work site clean-up.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Work in a fast-paced environment while staying mindful of safety and quality.
- Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving project safety performance.
- Check work to ensure adherence to code and specifications.
- Maintain, clean, and store company equipment, material, and the work site safely.
- Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
- Unload trucks and stage materials in the field.
- Coordinate actions with other workers on busy construction sites.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions to problems for cost-effective success.
- Work in a production environment with daily production goals.
- Anticipate and solve problems.
Hard Skills
- 1+ years experience in solar racking or solar electrical work
- Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/8th of an inch
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Solar Electrician
- Apprentice electrician

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Binghamton, New York.
Work Environment
The project is in an old farm field. Conditions can be wet and muddy. Candidates will also be working in inclement weather.
Hours: M-F 7:30 am-5:00 pm, S 7:30 am-4:00 pm (Saturdays are mandatory when requested).
