Job Title: Sr. Engineer – Solar & BESS
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced utility-scale PV Solar & BESS engineer who:
- Functions as the lead design engineer for utility-scale PV Solar projects (20MW and larger)
- Leads the development of electrical design packages for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects (20MW and larger)
- Serves as QA/QC on medium voltage collection system design projects and mentors junior engineers
- Has a strong understanding of inverter-based technologies commonly applied for these project types
- Develops collection design including single line diagrams, collection system layouts, communication diagrams, power cable sizing and cable
schedules, wiring diagrams, and ensures compliance with applicable fire, electrical, and building codes
- Effectively communicates with all stakeholders
- Actively participates in project plan meetings
