As the Technical Sales Support Manager, you’ll lead a dynamic team to design and deliver ABB E-Mobility solutions that meet customer EV Charger needs. Collaboration with Sales, Product, and Project Management teams to provide comprehensive hardware, software, and service solutions will mark success in this role. Stay ahead of industry trends and drive innovation in the fast-paced EV Charging market.

Target Salary Range: $125,000-$145,000 US annual + bonus eligible

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of three technical sales support engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment to enhance creativity, problem-solving, and customer satisfaction through effective planning and procedural improvements.
  • Generate, develop, and secure sales of our E-mobility Product Group, including EV Charging Infrastructure and EV Chargers, targeting End Users, Contractors, Distributors, Utilities, Network Providers, OEMs, and Construction and Industry Companies.
  • Collaborate with account sales managers and the technical sales support team to create and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers.
  • Direct the team in providing pre-sales support such as technical queries, installation guidance, feature explanations, and commissioning assistance as needed.
  • Assist with RFI and RFP requests by gathering information, analyzing requirements, and contributing to response quotes, ensuring seamless pre- and post-sales support including product delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover to SLA providers
  • Leverage deep technical knowledge of EV charging applications and electrical distribution systems to address complex challenges and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to evaluate new technologies, assess technical risks, and inform product development and strategy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in the EV charging infrastructure sector.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Minimum five (5) years’ experience in an engineering role preferably in application engineering within the electrical/power electronics industries
  • Minimum three (3) years managing teams preferred.
  • Experience in the EV or solar industry.
  • Deep understanding of electrical distribution systems including one-line diagrams, circuit breakers and controls, basic understanding of TCP/IP networks and its topologies, embedded soft-ware/ firmware combined with ability to learn fast in that domain.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
