Program Overview
The Climate Aligned Industries (CAI) program works to decarbonize heavy industry and heavy transport. We collaborate with a global network of businesses, financial institutions, policymakers, and community-based organizations to facilitate and scale emissions reductions in these industrial sectors. Through a new grant, CAI is catalyzing Clean Industrial Hubs by enabling flagship renewable energy and industry electrification, hydrogen and carbon removal projects in Houston, TX, and Los Angeles, CA.
The Position Overview
RMI is seeking a Manager to support the development of the two Clean Industrial Hubs. Specifically, this person would be responsible for managing resources, budgets, and staff on projects; interfacing with internal and external stakeholders; developing project deliverables; and ensuring that projects have impact in Houston and Los Angeles. Projects might include working with project developers to advance GW-scale hydrogen or with industrial facility owners to directly electrify.

Please note that this position has a strong preference for the candidate to be based near Houston, TX. This will be further discussed throughout the interview process.

Be ready to travel for occasional in-person meetings (and of course, we cover travel costs). Some roles may require more travel, which will be discussed during the hiring process.

Compensation
RMI compensates based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new Managers join at the minimum to mid salary range of $103,000-$125,000. You would also have an additional 10% bonus target!
