Position Summary:

Tetra Tech is seeking a recent graduate for the entry-level position of Project Operations Associate to support the implementation of USAID-funded projects in the energy sector. This is an exciting and impactful opportunity to learn how global development initiatives contribute to an inclusive clean energy transition worldwide.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support Home Office Project Managers and global field offices with various administrative and operational matters
  • Maintain trackers for accounts payable vouchers for vendors, subcontractors, and consultants, approvals, travel, deliverables, and project status meeting items
  • Maintain trackers for approvals, travel, deliverables and project status meeting items
  • Maintain electronic project shared folder of project deliverables, documents, reports, photos and other information
  • Prepare inputs for project budgets, financial trackers, financial reports such as labor forecasts, accruals and periodic financial forecast
  • Arrange travel and make logistical arrangements for workshops, conferences, and/or study tours
  • Support recruitment of short-term consultants
  • Assist with invoicing and travel logistics for short-term consultants
  • Provide meeting support: preparing agendas, taking and distributing meeting minutes, and following up on action items
  • Draft client approvals for travel and personnel approvals
  • Support the mobilization and demobilization of project expatriate staff
  • Support any other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in international development, public administration, or other relevant subject
  • Five years of relevant work experience in project management
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-sufficient and be able to operate independently
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed
  • Demonstrate capacity to work effectively under tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality documentation within required timeframes.
  • Excellent listening skills, coupled with a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.

Preferred but Not Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the USAID rules and regulations
  • Relevant work experience in international development or USAID funded projects.
  • Fluency in a foreign language: French, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian
