Job Description
Yellowlite, a leading solar energy contractor in the Midwest, is currently holding interviews for electricians that have knowledge and experience with both DC and AC equipment and circuits. This position requires a strong work ethic, positive attitude, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate well with customers and the Yellowlite team. We offer a flexible work schedule with compensation on a per-job basis.
Environment
This job operates in an outdoor environment that requires an individual to withstand fluctuating weather patterns from high heat to extreme cold. Must be able to safely climb ladders, work on sloped roofs and able to work in tight crawl spaces.
Qualifications
- Physical: Working on lifts, ladders, rooftops, and other hard to access areas
- Must have knowledge of current NEC codes
- Knowledge and experience in wiring residential electrical
- Experience with all required hand/power tools associated with the electrical trade
- Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and problem solving skills
- Electrical Experience: 1+ year (Required)
- Solar electrical experience (Preferred)
- Driver’s License (Required)
- High School Diploma (Preferred)

Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for installation and service of the electrical components of a Solar PV system according to design specifications, and local electrical codes
- Installation of solar equipment including but not limited to Inverters, load centers, disconnects, combiner boxes, EV Chargers, batteries
- Bending and installing conduit, pulling & terminating wire, cable
- Internet communication setup
- System Troubleshooting
- System testing/commissioning
- Service Panel Upgrades
- Travel is required within Ohio and surrounding states
- The schedule for this position is 8-10 hr shift, Monday-Friday**
- Ability to read schematics and follow technical installation instructions
- Load and unload trucks
- Maintain a clean job site, work truck, and warehouse
- Working under the direction of the Crew Lead, Senior Electrician, Installation Manager, and in coordination with all team members
- Interact with clients in a respectful manner
- Continuously learn about new technologies, equipment, and techniques related to the solar energy systems
- Required to wear all safety gear and perform all safety as required by the policies.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
