Fundraising Development Manager

Indigenized Energy (IE), fiscally sponsored by Mission Edge San Diego, is a pioneering non-profit organization dedicated to empowering tribal communities through sustainable and renewable energy initiatives. Job Summary
The Fundraising Development Manager (FDM) at Indigenized Energy will manage and execute the organizations development activities to ensure efficient fundraising operations across all channels. This role involves cultivating donor relationships, setting and achieving fundraising targets, coordinating with the communications team, and leading initiatives such as end-of-year campaigns and Native American History Month projects. The FDM will be versatile, adaptive, and skilled in managing both people and projects to enhance fundraising outcomes and departmental collaboration.
Areas of Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy and Execution
Create and achieve fundraising targets by overseeing activities related to individual donations, corporate and foundation contributions, and donor stewardship.
Campaign Management
Spearhead major fundraising campaigns and events, ensuring they align with organizational goals and are executed efficiently.
Donor Relations
Build and nurture relationships with donors and stakeholders to enhance their engagement and secure long-term support.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure consistent messaging and campaign alignment, and work with other departments to integrate development efforts with overall organizational objectives.
Reporting and Analysis
Contribute to the creation and management of reporting systems to monitor fundraising progress and identify opportunities for improvement, including overseeing staff focused on engagement and social media.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated expertise in major gifts, corporate and foundation fundraising, event coordination, and digital fundraising strategies.
Proven track record in project management, with a history of successfully leading and executing complex fundraising campaigns.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of donor cultivation processes, with experience managing the donor journey from initial prospecting through to cultivation and stewardship.
Proficient in working remotely, with strong ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and departments.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite.
Strong customer service, negotiation skills and ability to interact with employees and customers.
Self-starter with excellent time management, multitasking and organizational skills.
Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.
Enthusiastic team player who understands the dynamic of working in a matrixed organization
Outgoing with ability to provide excellent customer service to staff and external partners
Excellent critical thinker and problem solver; able to make solid judgments and decisions

Compensation & Benefits: The salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year and is negotiable based on qualifications and experience. We have a comprehensive and competitive benefits package for full time employees including health insurance and paid time off.
