Job Description
Solar Service Technician:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot a variety of solar and battery systems including, but not limited to SolarEdge, Tesla, Enphase, SMA, Fronius, and ABB
- Remove and reinstall existing Solar systems in entirety (panels, inverters, racking and roof attachments
- Report thorough job notes and diagnostics
- Communicate with manufacturers for technical and RMA support
- Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks
- Perform jurisdictional solar, electrical, or building inspections as scheduled
- Coordinating jurisdictional inspections with jurisdictions and hosting inspections.
- Technical Abilities, including but not limited to, reading blueprints or plans, using tools and equipment, testing wiring or circuitry, NEC code and basic electrical theory knowledge
- Maintain an organized and efficient calendar, highlighting existing appointments, as well as availability for additional inspections
- Executing unforeseeable minor punch list items such as painting conduit, applying NEC stickers/placards, etc.
- Other tasks and duties as needed
- Perform QA analysis on existing solar systems. (understand code requirement changes over time)
- Act as a subject matter expert for customers
- Manage the comprehensive customer experience
- Ability to travel around the SF Bay Area

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with failure analysis/diagnosis and the processes used to facilitate them
- Familiarity with NEC codes
- Minimum 3 years of residential solar experience at crew lead/foreman level
- Must be resourceful and able to troubleshoot and communicate any identified issues independently
- Must be highly organized and punctual
- Comfortable working with a variety of technologies and equipment – mobile device apps and laptop software
- 1-3+ years of previous field construction experience preferred
- PV design or PV Electrical experience is preferred
- PV installation experience is preferred
- Knowledge of local jurisdictional and/or national code requirements is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $59,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
