We are currently in search of mobile Heavy Equipment Operators willing to travel to take on a range of complex and unique work. Proficiently operate a range of heavy civil construction equipment, including Excavators, Aerial lifts, Dump Trucks, Skid steers, Rollers, and Loaders.
Required:
- Proficiently and safely operate various heavy civil construction equipment such as Excavators, Aerial lifts, Dump Trucks, Skid steers, Rollers, and Loaders.
- Actively prioritize safety in compliance with OSHA regulations and Kingsbury policies.
- Safely set up construction site staging areas, assess cycle times, and prepare sites by removing obstacles and hazards.
- Interpret excavation drawings, grade and slope stakes, and construction plans.
- Take measurements and establish finish grades on the site.
- Possess a solid grasp of grading methods, worksite procedures, and soil properties and stabilization.
- Excavate shallow trenches (less than 4 feet) to specifications.
- Safely excavate, fill, or compact earth.
- Load, transport, and unload excavated soil and construction materials.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, grease points, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks, and all moving parts for proper function.
- Conduct pre-shift safety inspections on equipment and report any necessary repairs to the supervisor.
- Hold an OSHA 10 Certification.
- Possess at least a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
Desired:
- Previous experience in operating and maintaining an excavator.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge, and skills.
- Ability to rig and hoist materials correctly.
- Proficiency in assessing different soil types.
- Familiarity with the use of sight levels, measuring tapes, plumb bobs, Surveyor’s levels, and leveling rods.

- A strong advocate for safety, taking ownership of safety on the job site.
- Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb, crawl, work at heights, and maintain balance.
- Capability to enter the cabs of vehicles or equipment located 3.5 feet or higher off the ground.
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods, reach for, handle, manipulate items, and work in adverse weather conditions (including cold and wet conditions).
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 50 per week
