What the Role Delivers

We are seeking a Regional Marketer to develop and execute highly effective promotional marketing strategies that drive business growth for AgroFresh across a robust portfolio of products in the United States and Canada. This role is a key member of the AgroFresh global marketing team, with peer regional marketing managers in three other global regions, and is accountable for driving results across all phases of the marketing funnel for North America.

Key Responsibilities
In order of relative importance

  • Build and execute all paid, owned, and earned marketing strategies to drive growth in the full marketing funnel, across all the products in our portfolio (from paid advertising to social media, to trade shows).
  • Measure the impact of tactics on sales, adjusting as needed to better drive product line growth.
  • Enable the sales leads funnel for the region, using our global process as a foundation, including the implementation of a more complete SalesForce and Marketing Cloud solution.
  • Lead regional product and program launches in close collaboration with Commercial (Sales), Global Product Management, Market Intelligence and R&D colleagues to successfully introduce them to the market.
  • Leverage external agencies and vendors to produce marketing communications, including but not limited to media planning, sales collateral development, and other promotional asset development.
  • Work with global market research to analyze regional market dynamics and trends to inform regional plans. Execute customer surveys and insights that drive tactics development.
  • Lead Marketing Automation and campaign attribution for the region, ensuring we can measure and track all of our paid and owned strategies.
  • Own and lead the relationship with all regional trade/crop association memberships/activations, coordinating all AgroFresh promotion opportunities at local Industry and AgTech forums.
  • Skillfully develop, manage and deploy the regional marketing budget throughout the year, managing invoice and expense management with external vendors.

What the Job Requires

  • Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or similar major (MBA a plus)
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing communications
  • Up to 20% travel, primarily within the region

  • A proven track record of delivering business growth
  • Agriculture industry experience (strongly preferred)
  • Expertise both in building effective high-level strategies and executing them to deliver desired business outcomes
  • A deep understanding of SalesForce and SalesForce Marketing Cloud

Local Details

  • This role is remote, located in the United States
  • Must be flexible to work with colleagues and clients in both Eastern and Pacific time zones
  • Ability and willingness to travel 15 – 20% mostly within the region
